Wildfire Los Angeles

Notice of Public Meeting for September 21, 2023

The “MySafe:LA Los Angeles County Fire Safe Council” will conduct a Virtual workshop on wildfire

preparedness on September 21, 2023, commencing at 7:00 PM (Pacific) and concluding (estimate) at 8:30PM (Pacific).

This new virtual workshop is important for anyone interested in the concept of home hardening and/or defensible space. We will cover the various aspects of reducing the risk of ignition during a wildfire, and share tips on things homeowner’s can do to improve their home and property’s resilience.

This 90 minute presentation is a “must attend” opportunity for anyone living in the wildland urban interface in Los Angeles County. Even if you believe your home is completely immune to wildfire, this is an important opportunity to ensure you have taken the vital life-saving steps important to everyone in the Very High Fire Severity Zone (VHFSZ) in Los Angeles county.

MySafe:LA hosts a virtual town hall on the third Thursday of every month, except for January. You may subscribe to our town hall podcast by visiting the wildfirela.org website.

Please see the attached Agenda for additional information.
