MySafe:LA proudly hosts a FREE monthly virtual town hall where community members can stay informed and engage with important topics. Each session features updates and inspiring guest speakers, including elected officials, wildfire survivors, firefighters, and specialists in landscaping and defensible space, among others. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect and learn together. Our town halls are typically hosted on the third Thursday of the month.
MySafe:LA invites you to join our FREE monthly “getting started” wildfire workshop, where you can discover how we support the development of Fire Safe Councils and NFPA FireWise USA entities. If you’re feeling unsure about where to start, why not attend one of our workshops? It’s a friendly way to learn more and get inspired. Our workshops are typically hosted on the fourth Thursday of the month.

AGENDA: Please join MySafe:LA and the Los Angeles Regional Fire Safe Council for our September Virtual Town Hall on Thursday, September 24, from 7:00–8:30 PM Pacific Time. There is a lot happening in wildfire preparedness right now, and this special-date meeting will cover several issues that directly affect our communities. We’ll hear from the California Department of Insurance about wildfire and flood insurance as we head into fall; share results from our community snap-survey following the September 9 Getty Fire, including what residents told us about warnings, communications, traffic, and evacuation concerns; explain the recent withdrawal of the Zone 0 regulations from the California Office of Administrative Law and what may happen next; and announce the initial schedule for our new evacuation workshop series. Wildfire resilience is about understanding risk, knowing what is changing, and making informed decisions before an emergency begins. The meeting is free, online, and open to the public, and we encourage you to share this invitation with your neighbors, Firewise communities, neighborhood councils, HOAs, and others interested in wildfire preparedness.
